Starbucks Blonde Roast Veranda Blend

Call me Ishmael or Starbuck?

It's no secret that all over the world you can find a Starbucks at some point. They're one of the leading brands for coffee today and it's hard not to try at least one of their blends. With so many assortments of coffee you can purchase at their coffee locations, at the grocery store or even to brew at home there are many to choose from. If you're curious who the first mate is we can offer some background here. When you open this blend and the aroma hits your nose you feel like you're back at Starbucks. We brewed this blend using two scoops and it comes pre-ground already so no grinding needed. The tasting notes on the packaging are toasted malt and baking chocolate. We gave this a try sans cream or sugar. The first taste for the coffee that hit our taste buds is the toasted malt flavor. We tasted very little of the baking chocolate but it was present in the aftertaste. The roast is made with Arabica beans and the story of the blend on the bag tells us this is meant to be a light mellow roast thats flavorful. We find the description to be accurate and if you're into stronger roasts this won't be the blend for you. We are a medium roast fans and while the flavor of this blend is good we weren't finding it to be our cup of joe so it has three cups from us.
