So we took one from Jack Sparrow here and couldn't agree more with him. Politics is mad but it also happens to be weaved into our daily lives. While not all can agree with who wins a Presidential election, those who hold power leave a lasting mark. Barack Obama left a lasting impression and is still is creating one today. This book covers his incredible journey into politics and how he became President. First off the book is very long to say the least. Only as you are reading through it you understand why. He is telling the full story of his start and he isn't glossing over anything. From the campaign trail for his Senate seat, to his campaign to Washington for President, he tells the full story of losses and wins that got him all the way. He shares family details and how becoming a world leader changed his life. It's a different viewpoint, to hear about state visits and politics from his side of the table. We recommend this to those who enjoy the madness of politics and are curious about his journey. At times the book reads like his speeches. Yet the change from stage to behind the curtain is shown vividly as he describes the stress of being in his position. Overall we loved the book and can't wait for whatever he creates next.
